Nylon Brake Hose Assembly-Support customization
- Product Description

Product Introduction
The nylon brake hose assembly is a pipe component primarily made of nylon material, used in automotive hydraulic braking systems. It consists of a flexible nylon tube connected at both ends to metal fittings (or other connecting parts) through a specialized manufacturing process. This assembly is designed to replace traditional rubber brake hose assemblies, effectively transmitting brake fluid pressure during the braking process and ensuring the efficient operation of the braking system.
Structural Composition
The core structure of the nylon brake hose assembly is similar to that of traditional brake hose assemblies, primarily consisting of two main components:
Nylon tube body
As the flexible transmission component of the assembly, it is typically made from high-strength nylon materials (such as PA6, PA12, etc.). Some models incorporate reinforcing layers—such as fiber-braided layers—to meet specific performance requirements. Nylon tubing itself exhibits excellent flexibility, pressure resistance, and chemical stability, enabling direct contact with brake fluid while effectively transmitting pressure. Additionally, it can accommodate the relative movements of vehicle components during operation.
Metal Connector
The interfaces connecting to other components of the braking system (such as the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rigid pipes, ABS valve bodies, etc.) are typically made of materials like brass, galvanized carbon steel, or stainless steel. Their surfaces undergo anti-corrosion treatments—such as chrome plating or Dacromet coating—to enhance rust resistance. The connector designs vary depending on the vehicle model and installation location, commonly including threaded, flanged, and quick-connect types, all of which must precisely match the corresponding connection ends in the system.
The joining process between the two components is critical to the overall assembly quality. It typically involves secure bonding methods such as hot-melt butt welding, mechanical crimping, or injection molding with encapsulation, ensuring leak-proof performance, high-pressure resistance, and the ability to withstand vibration and impact.
Core Performance Features
The nylon brake hose assembly, leveraging the unique properties of nylon material, boasts the following outstanding performance characteristics:
Highly Pressure-Resistant: Nylon material itself possesses high mechanical strength. Pure nylon tubes can withstand operating pressures ranging from 10 to 30 MPa, while models equipped with reinforcing layers offer even greater pressure resistance, fully meeting the high-pressure demands of braking systems (where instantaneous system pressures typically range between 10 and 20 MPa). Moreover, the burst pressure far exceeds the working pressure, ensuring reliable safety.
Excellent chemical corrosion resistance: Nylon exhibits outstanding resistance to media such as brake fluids (e.g., DOT3, DOT4, DOT5.1), engine oils, water, acids, and alkalis. It does not swell, age, or crack upon prolonged contact with brake fluids, ensuring a longer service life.
Low Permeability: Nylon materials feature a dense molecular structure, resulting in extremely low permeability to brake fluid. This effectively minimizes brake fluid loss caused by渗透, while also preventing external moisture and impurities from entering the system and contaminating the brake fluid, thereby ensuring the stability of the braking system.
Excellent thermal stability and environmental adaptability: The product maintains stable performance across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 120°C (with select models capable of withstanding up to 150°C). It exhibits outstanding resistance to ozone and UV aging, ensuring durability even under challenging conditions such as rain, snow, intense heat exposure, and muddy environments. This makes it suitable for use in diverse climatic regions worldwide.
Balanced Flexibility and Dimensional Stability: Nylon tubing exhibits moderate flexibility, allowing it to accommodate bending and vibration during vehicle movement. At the same time, it maintains excellent dimensional stability, with minimal shrinkage or expansion in length and diameter under varying pressure and temperature conditions—ensuring that braking pressure transmission accuracy remains unaffected.
Lightweight Design: Nylon material has a significantly lower density than rubber and metal. Compared to traditional rubber brake hose assemblies, it can reduce weight by 30% to 50%, helping to minimize overall vehicle energy consumption.
