Rubber hydraulic brake hoses are critical components connecting various parts of the vehicle's braking system, primarily used to transmit brake fluid and enable effective vehicle braking performance.

Structural Composition

Inner rubber layer: Typically made from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and oil resistance, ensuring good compatibility with brake fluid while effectively preventing brake fluid leakage.

Braided Layer: Typically made of steel wire or synthetic fiber braiding, such as polyester or nylon, this layer enhances the hose's strength and pressure resistance, enabling it to withstand the high pressures within the braking system.

Middle rubber layer: Located between the two braided layers, its primary function is to bond the braided layers together while enhancing the hose's flexibility and fatigue resistance.

Outer rubber layer: Typically made from EPDM or chloroprene rubber, this layer offers excellent weather resistance, abrasion resistance, and anti-aging properties. It effectively shields the internal structure from external environmental factors such as ultraviolet radiation, rainwater, and oil contamination.

How it works

When the driver presses the brake pedal, the piston inside the master cylinder pushes the brake fluid. This brake fluid is then transmitted through rubber hydraulic brake hoses to the wheel cylinders, which in turn actuate the brake shoes or brake pads, generating the braking effect necessary to slow down or stop the vehicle.

Performance Characteristics

High-pressure resistance: Capable of withstanding high pressure, typically operating at pressures reaching several megapascals or even higher, ensuring the proper functioning of the braking system.

Good flexibility: Features a small bending radius, enabling it to accommodate relative movements between different vehicle components during operation without being easily damaged by bending.
